The AVH183H35AXXX is a vertical–terminal (VTAC) heat-pump unit from Amana’s DigiSmart line. It’s designed for installations in a mechanical closet or shaft rather than protruding through a wall, saving room-space and offering a clean, discreet HVAC solution. When installed in guest rooms, suites, apartments or dorms, it provides a full heating and cooling solution while remaining out of sight.
With a nominal cooling output of ≈ 18,600 BTU/h and a heat pump heating capacity of ≈ 17,000 BTU/h, the unit is well-suited for medium to larger rooms. It also includes a 3.4 kW electric-heat backup (for colder climates or supplemental heating). The unit is compact, using the standard 23 1/8″ × 23 1/8″ footprint, but remains powerful, with a vertical chassis (height ~ 47.9″) that fits standard mechanical closets.
